RECOMMENDED CARE AND MAINTENANCE INFORMATION

SINQUASTONE QUARTZ SURFACES

Sinquastone Quartz is nonporous and resists stains.
When properly maintained it does not support the growth of mould, mildew or bacteria. In most cases, soap and water or a mild detergent is enough to keep your surfaces looking like new. However it is not indestructible and can be damaged if exposed to the wrong cleaning products. The following products have been tried and tested on Sinquastone surfaces and we recommended that these should be used on a regular basis to keep your work surfaces in pristine condition.

Note: Non polished finishes may require additional aftercare to maintain their appearance.

STONE CLEAN
MULTI PURPOSE NEUTRAL DETERGENT IDEAL FOR PRE CLEANING ALL SURFACES
Ready to use product. Spray the detergent onto the surface and wipe off with a clean cloth. Once the surface is clean, it is most important to rinse any excess residue left with clean water.

WIPE & GLOSS
CLEANS AND REVIVES SHINE ON POLISHED SURFACES
Shake bottle well before use. Spray Wipe & Gloss onto work surface and in circular movements using a clean cloth wipe it off. If required use rubber gloves to avoid any possible skin irritations. (Not suitable for honed / matt surface finishes or floor areas)

NANO CREAM
ABRASIVE PASTE CREAM FOR DAILY OR WEEKLY CLEANING
Specially developed paste using tiny particles that penetrate into the small superficial pores where normal detergents cannot reach. Will remove all types of surface organic lime scale and permanent marker pens. Used regularly will help prevent lime scale and general soiling build up on your work surface. Use a damp cloth to remove any excess dirt and grime. Pre wet surface with water to create a slight damp effect, not soaking wet. Apply Nano Cream paste to surface and proceed to agitate using a scouring pad in circular movements until clean. Where surfaces have not been cleaned for some time or proving more difficult to clean, we recommend repeating same cleaning procedure or using Nano Cream pure without adding any water. After every clean, rinse thoroughly with clean warm water using a cloth to remove all excess dirt and paste residues. If necessary as in the case of marker pen residues you can apply Nano Cream neat on the surface mark and leave for approximately 2/4 hours and then as before rinse thoroughly with clean warm water

PROTECTION FROM HOT TEMPERATURES.
SINQUASTONE is heat resistant, but it does need protection from very high temperatures (anything above 150 degrees Celsius) or sudden extreme temperature changes. Therefore, hot pots and pans should never be placed directly onto the work surface. A trivet should always be used to protect the work surface from extreme heat. Also any cooking appliances such as cookers, chip pans, toasters etc should also have some sort of heat pad to stop excessive heat being transferred to the work surface.

GRANITE WORKSURFACES

Whilst all our worktops have been factory sealed with an anti-stain treatment it is still important to follow this up with the following care and maintenance instructions to maintain your warranty.
A free care kit is provided with all work surfaces and these products must be used as directed to prevent any staining occurring over the life time of the warranty.

GRANITE MAINTENANCE
Granite worktops should be protected with Acqua Seal every six months to form a barrier and stop liquids penetrating the surface. This is especially important around sinks and cooking areas.

Your care kit consists of  3 products, STONE CLEAN, ACQUA SEAL & CREAM  STONE
These should be used as follows:

STONE CLEAN: Firstly clean your worktops thoroughly with the Stone Clean by spraying detergent onto surface. Leave for a few minutes then proceed to clean using the white cloth provided. Once surface is clean it is important to rinse thoroughly with clean warm water to remove any residues.
ACQUA SEAL: Make sure surfaces all are completely dry after cleaning and apply the Acqua Seal. Spray it evenly across all surfaces and leave for at least 30 minutes. Then clean off any excess with the white cloth provided.
CREAM STONE: After the surfaces have been sealed with Acqua Seal leave for about 8 hours. Then apply the Cream Stone sparingly onto the surface and spread uniformly with a cloth in circular movements. Leave for a few minutes then proceed to polish with a clean cloth to shine the surface. Cream stone can be used regularly to give your worktops a high shine and keep them in pristine condition.

NOTE: For best protection we reccommend using Stone Clean and Acqua Seal every 6 months to help form a barrier and stop liquids penetrating the surface. This is especially important around sink and cooking areas.
